A few days before Christmas, Andrea, Enrico and Giulia welcomed in Sardinia a new and an old friend on the occasion of the last incoming mission scheduled for this year.
Anthony Wilcox, assistant director and producer, now runs the Blind Side Films, a production company based in the UK, he is also an award-winning director himself and is now working on a project that might involve Sardinia for shooting. He has been truly inspired during the location scouting tour the Lùgere team programmed for him to help developing his very interesting film which unfortunately must be kept secret for now!
Stefano Negri is a business partner of The Box Films, a Milan based company mostly focused on advertising. He’s been collaborating with Artevideo since many years and he currently works as executive producer for some international projects with Revolution Films, a British film production company founded by producer Andrew Eaton and director Michael Winterbottom, who’s had Stefano as his favorite producer to work with on the last movies he directed.
We cannot reveal all the locations we have visited but we surely can tell you about some beautiful places we have been during these days in the middle and south-west coast of the island. A cultural journey in which we discovered the Nuraghe Losa in Abbasanta, the mural paintings in Orgosolo, and Mamoiada, where we had the pleasure of visiting our friends Mario Paffi and Rita Mele, from the Museum of Mediterranean Masks, then met the artisan Franco Sale at his shop, where he showed his handmade artworks to our guests.
Winter is the perfect time of the year in order to appreciate the residents’ pace of life and the atmosphere of the little villages beyond the tourist-season. Furthermore, what is more beautiful than the sea during the winter? Anthony and Stefano had also the chance to visit the ruins of Nora and the beaches of Chia, perfect choices for heritage and landscapes insights of Sardinia.
In conclusion, it has been a great time, very useful for strengthening the pre-existing partnership and for building a new one. Lots of ideas came out of it. A beautiful experience to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one.
Our Lùgere team wishes Happy Holidays and a fantastic 2020 to you all!
